Winnipeg Stadium

1

Winnipeg Stadium was a major sports venue that operated from 1952 to 2012. It was abandoned following the Winnipeg Blue Bombers relocating to Princess Auto Stadium in south Winnipeg. It was located in the Polo Park neighborhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the host of the opening to the 1967 and 1999 Pan-American games. It was also host to a baseball team, before Winnipeg lost it's team. After a death of a fan in 2006, concerns were raised over the condition of the stadium, causing venues to slowly stop from the venue. The stadium was abandoned in 2012, and demolished in 2014.
